Links

Schoolshistory.org.uk - Mr Moorhouse's other website.

Schoolhistory.co.uk - Outstanding resource for teachers and pupils. Particularly useful is the Teachers' forum for lesson ideas, sourcing materials and getting advice about all manner of things. Similarly for pupils, the Student Forum has been a godsend for some who have struggled with their homework - but remember that the work won't be DONE for you, you'd just get some helpful hints.

Historymatters.org.uk - Loads of links to Historical events around the country along with some very important reminders about why history is important.

History.org.uk - The main website of the Historical Association. The associations quarterly journal Teaching History (click on the link to get access to two back issues of the journal) contains a wide range of interesting lesson ideas, updates on subject knowledge and details of upcoming events and initiatives. Mr Moorhouse is on the secondary Committee of the Ha, and co-organised the centenary web debates for the association.

Thinkinghistory.co.uk - Ian Dawson's excellent resources website. An ever growing selection of highly engaging activities. Several of Mr Moorhouse's lessons are hosted on the site and more will follow soon. (Mr Moorhouse is also co-writing GCSE history materals with Ian Dawson at the moment -so more will be coming!)

JohnDClare.net - without doubt the best online resource for students following the GCSE History (Modern World). An amazing collection of notes, examiners tips, guides and revision tips.

LearningCurve.gov.uk - The National Archives resource for schools. Brilliant select of sources, combined with some very well presented exhibitions and online tasks.
